This is game design software, specifically RPG's.

Giveaway open to everyone on deviantart (for exceptions read below).

AFTER IVE SENT THE GIFT TO YOUR ACCOUNT IN STEAM: (i will ask you to favorite this journal and also post here saying that you received the items you asked for.. if you received the items and steam says you have them ive done all i can, if you have technical problems like cant find them (but steam shows you have them in your inventory / under games in steam profile) or cant get them to work, you can tell me but its best to post in a technical support forum firstly in steam or the official rpg maker site.. as a last resort i guess make a steam support ticket.. make sure you read the rules of conduct in such forums, usually you need to search for threads on the subject and if found read and add to that rather than posting a new thread, for example.)

If you already own RPG Maker VX Ace and would like one of the packs for it your welcome to ask for it (as stated above/up). However these packs will only work properly with the steam version of RPG Maker VX Ace as far as i know (though one person was able to extract some of the steam files for use in their non-steam rpg maker vx ace.. if you have the non-steam version it may be worth seeing if you can get a free steam key on the official rpg maker site and forum, there is a linked thread in the comments of this journal where i advised someone to do this (on page 2, comment made 11 September 2014 click here for details >>>Sep 11, 2014)

If you register with steam you will need to also download the steam client software to your computer and install it, so i guess you will need to have access to a pc that allows you to install stuff. Also steam usually has to be running for you to play any apps/games you have in steam so an internet connection is needed. However you can enable offline mode within steam whilst online to allow you to use your apps/games even if there is no internet available (the apps/games will need to be installed though, a process you do in your steam library theres a button for install).

NOTE me here your profile/screen name in steam, when you make it ideally make it unique so that i can easily find you to send the friend request, steam will not tell you if this screen/profile name is unique. Your screen/profile name (can be searched for) is different to the one you register at Steam with initially (which cannot be searched for). My profile/screen name is not easily searchable there its quite a common name. Please also create a custom URL in your steam profile and NOTE me that too.

I would have to send you a friend request in steam for you to accept, rather than you being able to send one to me ... i'm not looking for steam friends, i will remove you as a friend in Steam immediately after you acknowledge in steam chat that you received the gifts... no offence meant! (steam restricts what you are able to do in it until you have bought a game yourself, so things like you requesting a friend and possibly forum access will be limited/not allowed. But you will be able to use RPG Maker VX Ace perfectly well. There are other forums online that cater for RPG Maker VX Ace if you google the product name.

DO NOT register with Steam until I have said you won whichever prize.. unless of course you are already a steam member.

Its optional and not needed but you can tell me why you want what you specify, if your have any interest in game design, also what type of game you want to make, the theme/setting. I am unsure what the main RPG Maker VX Ace comes with art wise, there are some screen shots within the Steam store.

Of course you could always make the art yourselves or find some help with that, it would be a huge undertaking to make the whole game's art yourself or even with help though. RPG Maker VX Ace contains some art for you already. The DLC (down loadable content) packs just contain more art or music or both. I think most people use some of the provided art and build upon that theme to make their game quite unique.

The main app/game RPG Maker VX Ace on its own is Ideal if you want too make the game from one computer either by yourself or with a friend/s sitting at your computer with you. Or you could search online for others interested in collaborating who already own the program.

i'm no expert at RPG Maker VX Ace, in fact i have never used it so probably won't be able to help with that (I do own a copy for myself though).

I am unsure of the age you have to be to get a steam account, some online said 13 but this may be wrong as i've seen other posts that contradict this, some users are younger.. I guess you can register, add your age and see if it lets you in.

*I have searched online and most people with windows 8 have been able to run this without problem or using compatibility mode, though if you have any problems doing a quick search online should find some fixes (I hope).
